Why I'm not on social media

"Hey David, what's your Instagram, your Twitter, your Snap chat"? People ask me for these things and I always give the same answer, "I don't have any". This response leads to looks of disbelief; they don't understand how someone my age isn't on these things. I don't have the typical answer of "it's less drama" and it's not that I like I do it to keep away from the norms. The reason I don't go on social media is because I like to experience things for myself and keep to myself. I'm not the type to take pictures while on vacation to post them later. When I'm in a beautiful place with my fiancĂ© and my daughter; I like to bask in the moment. I'm not into flashing so I don't care for likes and I don't really care for letting people know what I'm up to. I love to appreciate nature for what it is; I don't have urges to pull my phone out and take a pic for the 'gram. I don't really care to see what my friends/ acquaintances are spending their time doing, if I did I'd call them up. I don't mean any kind of disrespect towards nobody, I just don't see the appeal.
